Michelle Obama went to Liberia with her daughters so as to encourage the teenages girls in Liberia to stay in school, that even thought the schools were closed for months due to the Ebola out break. She told them that education for the girls child is very important, that her priority is center about education for all.In other to inspired them more ,she took her daughter ,who just graduated from a high school, they sang and share different ideas with the girls. In regard to this visit the USAid gave $27million as funding to the girls. This fund raising was done by Michelle and her husband President Barack Obama in other to initial the young girls to go to school, because education is very important for a girl child. In addition ,to this visit, the oldest vocational high school was named after one African American civil right activist who was called Brooker T Washington. This bought alot of joy and happiness to the Liberian population who then expresses their sincerely warm welcome to the America first lady Michelle Obama.Toward their acknowledgement to what the US has done to them, the principal of the school call for all the girls to see this as a real inspiration for them to go to school and learn well in other for them to excel in higher heights
To comment on this ariticle, for me as a girl, mother and a mother of only girls,am so happy and pleased to see that all the girls go to school and become pilot, president and do what so ever the men are doing in the society. So this will also teach some of our parent who send only the men to school To round all this,if we look round,we will realise that ,the girls are the sole head of most families, even if their are marry.
I love this lady and also her personality, I think she is doing a good thing by spreading the message to the world, specially girls to stay in school. most of us young people, sometimes all we care about is to have fun, and forget about school. Without an education we are nothing believe it or not. I am so proud of the first lady for spreading this important message
ReplyDeleteHelp girls to stay in school is good initiative. I support 100 percent, because if you train one girl who eventually will become a woman, means you have trained entire family.
ReplyDeleteIt is important to push children to stay in school especially girls. In Africa, We have to create the opportunity for girls to reach high education and degrees.

ReplyDeleteThe campaign for good education in schools and our environment doesn't exclude everyone of us. We all have a take in being good ambassadors of our communities and help build a good nation. kudos to Michelle Obama and her daughter for remembering Africa in their campaign. Well, if all ladies could be educated like men,we would have a good nation. No wonder most campaign on education are mostly for ladies not men......laugh.
